Learn from professional artists in working studios on our lakeside campus in the heart of Winter Park. The Crealdé campus also features two art galleries and the Contemporary Sculpture Garden.

Sign up for one- and two-week camp options for young artists ages 4 to 17, who are placed in small age-based groups for maximum personalized attention. All materials are included in the tuition.



Celebrate at the 33rd annual ArtCamp Exhibition featuring art from each camper! Opening reception is Saturday, August 15, from 5 to 7 pm, in the Showalter Hughes Community Gallery.

Crealdé offers one week of half-days filled with hands-on exploration in two- and three-dimensional art. This program is designed to nurture creativity in our youngest children at a pace that permits self-expression and success.

Crealdé offers one week of half-days – morning or afternoon – filled with art experiences in a variety of media. Young artists enjoy three classes a day in sculpture, clay, and painting and drawing, with a 10-minute break between each class.

Crealdé's most popular pick! This two-week session features full days of classes in painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics and sculpture. Every day includes a class in each medium.

Ceramics: Create clay works of art using slab, coil and pinching methods. Finish the pieces by decorating the surfaces with glaze and firing them in our kiln to make them last forever.

Painting & Drawing: Experiment with a variety of drawing and painting materials to learn the essentials including line, color, texture, shape, composition and perspective.

Printmaking: Prints are works of art produced in multiple impressions, each one an original. Explore printmaking techniques, including some that use Crealdé's printmaking press.

Photography: Use Crealdé's 35mm cameras and handmade art cameras to compose a photograph, process film, print images and more, using the school's professional darkroom.

Sculpture: Use recycled objects, wood, Styrofoam and more to develop new skills and explore new ways to construct three-dimensional art.

Mystery Medium: We're adding something special this year to broaden artistic horizons.

Crealdé's Advanced Art Studio Program gives students the opportunity to concentrate on one medium exclusively for one week. The program is based on the nationally recognized Advanced Placement Studio Art Program.

Painting & Drawing: Immerse yourself in acrylics and watercolor as you learn paint handling and color mixing, as well as traditional and experimental approaches to painting. Instructor: Fabiola Hansen.

Film Photography: Use Crealdé's 35mm cameras and our professional darkroom to explore subject matter, composition and light, as you make interesting photographs. Develop and print your own negatives. Discover alternative methods of photography. Instructor: Trish O’Donnell.

Digital Photography: Use Crealdé's SLR cameras and our state-of-the-art digital classroom at the Hannibal Square Heritage Center. Learn the basics of digital photography and explore composition, light, balance, rhythm and proportion to make interesting photographs of your world. Instructor: Laurie Hagemaier.

Handbuilding with Clay: When you handbuild with clay you can make almost anything from simple coil, slab and/or pinch pots. Unleash your creative side ... imagine it, then make it in clay. Instructor: Doug Bringle.

Wheel throwing: Create pottery on the wheel! Learn to center, stretch and manipulate clay until a pot emerges. Explore decorating and glazing techniques as you create functional ceramics. Instructor: Belinda Glennon.

NEW! Sculpture: Students will be introduced to a variety of materials used to create sculptures. Face masks, figurines and life-size heads will be sculpted during this weeklong exploration of the sculpture process. Instructor: David Cumbie.

Create clay forms on the wheel – bowls, cups and plates! Then combine hand-building and surface-decoration techniques to create unique and functional pots. Bring an old towel and play in the mud!

PHY148 Digital Photography: People, Places, Nature

Wednesday 10–11:30 a.m. Heritage Center

Explore nature, portraiture and travel photography during walking field trips in Winter Park. Experiment with photographic principles using digital SLR cameras. Add your final touches in our iMac Photoshop lab. Cameras are provided.

Foiled again! Use the Tiffany foil method to create an illuminating stained glass project. Learn to make a pattern, cut, foil and solder.

Art Camp is Non-Refundable. In consideration of Crealdé's acceptance of my child's enrollment, Parent/Guardian (to be referred to from here out as I, my, or myself) waive and release any and all rights to damage against Crealdé Arts, Inc. and I grant full permission to Crealdé to use photographs, video, and any other recordings of classes or programs involving my child for legitimate purposes. Participant and I, being fully informed of the nature of the programs at Crealdé, assume full responsibility for sport injuries and/or injury due to use of art materials or tools. I release Crealdé from any claim whatsoever regarding first aid or treatment and agree to be fully responsible for any medical cost incurred.

The following sections pertain to Crealdé School of Art - Art Camp Guidelines and are part of these terms and conditions of registration. 

TUITION: I understand full tuition and registration fee are due upon registration and are non-refundable. Registration forms must be completed in full. It is my responsibility to complete the Art Camp section of the registration form. I also understand that misrepresenting my child's date of birth or age can void the registration and that payment will NOT be refunded. 

EXHIBIT: Teachers will select one piece of art from each student for the Art Camp Exhibition. It is my responsibility to pick up my child's at Crealdé within 3 business days of the end of the Art Camp exhibit. Artworks not retrieved by that date become property of Crealdé School of Art. 

MEDICATION: During youth classes/workshops Crealdé personnel are not responsible for the administration of medication. During Art Camp it is my responsibility to complete the medication information through My Account online (selecting your art camp student profile). I am responsible to bring student's medication to the Art Camp Coordinator directly; and NOT to send the medication directly with the student. 

PERSONAL BEHAVIOR: Personal Behavior Agreement will be completed by each student and myself. This form will go home with the Art Camp student the first day of Art Camp and it is my responsibility to complete and return to the Art Camp Coordinator the following day. This form is available for my review prior to enrollment at

Refund policies for Summer Saturday classes and Workshops: Refunds must be requested 24 hours before start of first class. Requests made after this will not be honored. Refund is tuition less nonrefundable $10 processing fee and the $20 registration fee per class. Withdrawal for credit must be requested before second class. There is a fee of $15 for returned checks. No workshop refunds made following registration deadline.
