Painting the Still Life in Oil or Acrylic

-One untoned (white) Canvas or panel, no smaller than 12x16 nor larger than 16x20, (exact dimension is open: students may want to bring more than one size or dimension and decide which to use in class)
-Palette
-Assortment of Brushes – I recommend filbert style, natural or synthetic bristle
-Palette and/or Painting knife
-Turpenoid or odorless spirit*
-Painting medium -Liquin Original* for oils;
-matte, gloss, or gel medium for acrylics
-Paper towel/rags
-Assortment of Colors is up to the student, The following is a suggested minimum:

Cadmium Red Light
Alizarin Crimson or Rose Madder
Cadmium Yellow Light or Pale
Indian Yellow
Thalo Blue(green shade)or thalo green or viridian
Ultramarine Blue or Cobalt
Raw Umber
Ivory Black
Titanium, Flake, or Permalba white
