Study Goals:

In this class, students will learn how to build their own framed tapestry loom. Basic tapestry techniques like slit, interlocking, and blending weft yarn will be taught to weave weft-faced tapestry. Weaving processes including blending weft will given participants an experience to make unique woven samples. Students will need to bring their own yarns and simple tools to weave. Instructor will in addition inform students about various sources for yarn.


Materials Needed:

Scissors
A4 size notebook
12 color pencils
Tape measure
Various yarns
Picture frame without glass (approximate size: 12 x 16)
Nails
Hammer
Graph paper
