PD120, Fundamentals of Color

It is not necessary to bring materials the first day of class.

This course is done in oil paint, although the principles and skills may be applied to any art medium.

Oil paint and canvas will be supplied.

Materials to be supplied by the student:

A stiff board approximately 12" x 16"
a store-bought canvas panel works well.

Two knives:
1. palette knife – straight blade
2. painting knife – trowel shaped with bent handle

Palette (size 12" x 16"): disposable palette pad works well, but wood or Plexiglas is OK

Paper Towels
Old clothes or apron/smock
Masking tape, 1-inch
